Wedding invitation messages for WhatsApp, in English, Chinese and Malay

Many couples now send their wedding invitations by message, with an e-invite or a video. These messages are ready to copy and change. Words in [brackets] are yours to fill in.

When to send it

Send your invitation about two to three months before the wedding. For a destination wedding, send it three to four months before, after a save-the-date. Ask guests to reply by a date that leaves you time to plan the seating and give your venue its final numbers. Send a short reminder a week or so before the wedding.

A few tips

  • Send the message and the invitation together, so the details are in one place.
  • Put the date to reply by in the message itself. It's the line guests look for.
  • For older relatives, a call or a printed card as well as the message is often appreciated.

Send a film with your message

Our 60-second films show your guests where to go, when to be there and what to wear, painted in a watercolour style and set to an original song. See our Singapore wedding films.
